To inaugurate his Kingdom on-earth-as-it-is-in-heaven. Jesus’ death and resurrection marked the end of one age and the beginning of another—an age where we can experience the Kingdom of God every day. God gave us his Holy Spirit to fill us daily, therefore bringing pieces of his Kingdom to earth right now. This is an experience of God no one had ever known before.
To heal the world. This is God’s ultimate goal and Jesus’ coming is part of that goal. Salvation and the
promise of a better life are now available for any who receive Jesus. Healing is in progress.
