After many years and much soul-searching, I finally feel able to articulate why this kind of belonging matters. But my answer isn’t short. That process–biblical learning and personal reflection–is one of many little tweaks I recommend when joining a church. In fact, at Westwinds, we don’t even refer to that process as membership anymore.
