Christ came into the world as a perfect human being, and his contemporaries condemned him for it. They couldn’t tolerate what he preached, what he proclaimed, and what he required. And it wasn’t just “bad” people Christ confronted. At the end, even his own friends and family were of no help, such that we must conclude no one is as good as we were meant to be. No one could ever live up to the standards God ordained for Creation. There will never be a human solution, independent of God, that can arrest evil or heal the world.

Because we are all part of the problem.
