Giving is worship, not business. There is no inventory. No accrued interest. No break-even point. No rate of return. We give because we have received.
On the cross, Jesus exposed the fundamental failure of the world of buying and selling. He freely gives salvation to all who accept him. And that is God’s way: The way of giving.
Give, and give generously. As God gave and gives generously.
For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
