Must I again remind you of your office? Tales of your lewd dancing are running amok in our city, causing greater scandal than tales of your low birth (which now, by the way, is completely evidenced). Though I did not personally subject myself to the affront of your sinfulness – I would not dare look upon a naked man, let alone my “king” – I assure you many, many of your formerly loyal supporters have come to me in dread and shame.
We ought to be able to expect more credibility out of our leaders, and less baseness.
