If you’ve ever received an unanticipated, no-strings attached gift (no matter the amount) you understand that it truly is the fact someone else was thinking about you that matters.
We trivially toss around the adage, “it’s the thought that counts.” Perhaps if we said, “it’s the heart that counts,” it would hold more weight.
The scriptures talk regularly about giving; and a plethora of times giving to others.
Honestly, I’m not sure any of us fully appreciate how giving to others positively affects our relationships.
It’s the heart that counts. Give, and give generously. And make your thought and heart count.
The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.
