As we are called to “fill the Earth and subdue it” we must acknowledge that our rule has certain requirements. We are to develop the world. We are to help transform the world.
Hence our need for wisdom and beauty.
Development without wisdom doesn’t create order; it creates urban ghettos. Transformation without beauty doesn’t produce civilization; it produces degradation.
God has required us to lead in love, to develop with wisdom, and to bring beauty out of chaos.
This is still our task today. We intercede on behalf of the world. We work for a transformation of this world into something more beautiful, more true, and more holy.
We are shadowing God, inviting the world to rediscover its true self in our divine-image.
