Joshua,
I have been a friend of your mother’s for almost twenty years. I have watched you grow up from a young boy and have always had a certain fondness for you; however, I feel it is my duty as a mature believer to reprimand you for your inappropriate and impolite behavior.
How dare you turn over the temple courts!? Those people have generously and benevolently supported our faith through their hard work for many, many years. They were here long before you showed up – best you remember that! – and they’ll be here long after you are dead and gone.
What makes you think you have the right to be so judgmental?
Even if your anger was warranted – which is most definitely is NOT – the way you went about displaying it has shamed you and your family in front of everyone.
God is not pleased.
Forgivingly,
Mildred
