One of God’s directives is to give. Give generously. Frequently. Happily. In a multitude of capacities. If we fully understand the continuous, ongoing theme of trusting and obeying God found throughout the scripture, we will begin to understand the extent of his blessings.
Everything we have is a gift from God, entrusted to us as a resource to cooperate with God in healing the world, and for us to enjoy a few fine things along the way. Knowing this, we must allow our concerns about returns on investment to include things like love, peace, relationships, joy, laughter, dreams, rewards, and making a difference.
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.
